COLL BUNKHOUSE
Coll Bunkhouse is a purpose-built hostel, opened in 2012 and situated in the centre of Arinagour.
FACILITIES
Sleeping up to 14 people, the bunkhouse has one mixed dormitory with six beds and two rooms for exclusive use, a 3 bed room (one double with single bunk over) and a five bed room (one double with bunk over and two further bunks).
All rooms have a wash basin, private lockers with ample storage space, and individual reading lights by each bed. Bed linen is provided upon arrival and towels can be hired from reception or requested when booking online. Free wireless internet is available throughout the building.
The bunkhouse has a fully-equipped kitchen complete with everything you will need to allow you to be self-catering during your stay. There is plenty of dining space to allow groups to eat together after a day exploring the island. The lounge makes a great space to socialise, stocked with books, games, plasma-screen TV (for dvds/external devices only) and comfy couches so you can sit back and relax.

As you would expect for a modern hostel, hot showers are readily available, offering hot water all day long.
The bunkhouse comes complete with laundry facilities and drying room, perfect for drying off those wetsuits and walking gear when the weather’s not so great (sometimes it rains!) or after a day at the beach.
The building has been designed to allow disabled access, including level access throughout, accessible car parking, accessible WC and shower facilities with grab rails and seat. We have one accessible bedroom and the kitchen, corridors and laundry room all incorporate space for a turning circle for wheelchair users.

“My stay was excellent, I thoroughly enjoyed all that the bunkhouse offers in terms of comfort, cleanliness and facilities. The staff are the best around, no request is too much, they really do go out of their way to accommodate what you may need, so hospitable. In my experience the local people I met on Coll were the friendliest. I will definitely return.”

In early 2018 we were delighted to welcome a well-prepared group of 12 men to our bunkhouse. While we’re always happy to answer questions about things to see and do on Coll, on this occasion our guests had it all meticulously planned before they even arrived.
Over a handful of days they sampled local produce (on one occasion, hiring an in-house and local caterer), enjoyed a boat trip to the Small Isles with IsleGo, took a Calmac daytrip from Coll to Tiree, explored the island on foot and took in a wildlife tour with the RSPB, enjoyed the delights of the Coll Hotel and Island Café and, last but not least, invited us to join them in a traditional ceilidh. They were even kind enough to write a blog about their time with us, and you can read it here.
