About An Cridhe
The Heart of life on Coll.
An Cridhe is the Isle of Coll’s brand new community centre, opened by HRH Princess Anne on 11th July 2012. An Cridhe means ‘the heart’, and the building is intended to be at the heart of life on Coll. It is a multi-purpose facility that caters for the many different needs of islanders and visitors.
Many of our guests like to use the facilities at An Cridhe for sports and leisure, such as badminton, table-tennis, netball or indoor hockey, tennis or football. It costs just £4 per person per hour and makes the perfect alternative when the weather’s not so great. Also, Calmac Kids Club members have free use of the sports facilities between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
An Cridhe makes an excellent venue for a variety of events from meetings and conferences to weddings, parties and ceilidhs. If you’ve got an idea for an event or are interested in holding a function then please don’t hesitate to get in touch – our friendly staff are on hand to help.
Whatever your requirements we are always ready to help so please get in touch if you would like to hire any of our facilities.
